<p class="MsoNormal"><a name="_Hlk161386333">An </a><a name="_Hlk167280269">Erosion Control Inspection is generated for
every permit where ground disturbance occurs. <o:p></o:p></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The
Erosion Control Inspection should be the FIRST inspection for any permit. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The Erosion Control inspection is to verify
that erosion control measures are in place to prevent offsite sediment and stormwater
runoff into Wetlands, Waterways or the County’s Stormwater Drainage System. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Erosion control measures are required to be
in place as soon as any ground disturbance begins and maintained throughout the
construction process. Additional inspections may be added later if we receive a
complaint and/or observe offsite impacts. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Erosion control measures such as a
vegetative buffer, silt fence, or any appropriate Best Management Practice, as
described in the Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Manual,
may be used. The manual can be downloaded at <a href="https://www.fsesci.com/downloads/">https://www.fsesci.com/downloads/</a> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A vegetative buffer is the most efficient
and cost-effective form of erosion control. For most sites, a minimum of 15 ft
of undisturbed vegetation is a sufficient buffer. Steep sites may require a
larger buffer area. A vegetative buffer can be reestablished on a disturbed
site with the installation of sod. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Silt fence is the most commonly used form of
erosion control protection. Silt fence needs to be placed so that it includes
all areas of fill or disturbed soils, and the silt fence needs to be keyed into
the ground (buried up to the line, you should be able to pull up on the silt
fence at any point and it does not move at the ground). Additional BPMs may be
needed for sites with steep slopes.<o:p></o:p></p>

Need clarification / correction. f channel is not fastened per product approvals onsite. product approvals call for 2 fasteners in the f channel ( one in leg and one in slot) 12" o.c. do not have slot fastener and leg fastener is not 12" o.c. 13"-18" in uncovered areas. called supplier as requested by contractor in previous email. supplier stated incorrect product approval was onsite. supplier sent new approvals. new approvals (3 tnails clustered every 24" o.c. )nailing does not match onsite install. please clarify what product you are using, have onsite for reinspection and correct as necessary. will need more areas open for inspection.
